Asian Radiology communities convene in Singapore

Medical professionals and trade visitors representing the medical imaging, informatics and clinical practice communities in Asia have gathered in Singapore to attend RadiologyAsia from today through Saturday. Conceptualised by SingEx Exhibitions and co-produced with the Singapore Radiological Society, RadiologyAsia is the first holistic event in Asia to address all aspects of the use of medical imaging and radiology in diagnostics and treatment, from an academic perspective during scientific meetings, to a showcase of more than 100 radiological products and solutions.

Ms Ng Whey Whey, Assistant Director, Projects Management for SingEx Exhibitions says, “We are pleased that the industry has been highly supportive of this event. Their participation has helped us to create an event rich with compelling content. The exhibition complements the scientific meetings that are taking place, enhancing its relevance to both the exhibitors and the delegates attending these meetings.”

RadiologyAsia exhibition is a display of the latest radiological and medical imaging technology and solutions, much of it at the cutting-edge of technology that goes far beyond anatomical imaging and well into molecular imaging and therapeutics. Over 40 local and international brands are represented.

Mr Matthew Bauer, Managing Director, EIZO Southeast Asia comments that “EIZO is pleased to participate in RadiologyAsia exhibition because we will have direct access to the practitioners that use our products on a day-to-day basis. Radiologists today have the opportunity to make a significant change in the life of a cancer patient. Our products help them to do that, so it made a lot of sense for us to attend RadiologyAsia to showcase a new method to these professionals who are discussing radiology as it applies to oncology at the conference.”

The 24th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Singapore Radiological Society and College of Radiologists, Singapore, as well as a course led by the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology (AIRP) has attracted over 100 speakers from 30 countries and will be attended by more than 300 delegates.

Dr Lawrence Quek, Consultant with Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital believes that attending RadiologyAsia is a must. “The organizing committee has done a great job of weaving together a robust scientific programme with speakers and topics from which anyone engaged in oncology or radiology could find something of relevance. I am excited to network with both international and regional colleagues at RadiologyAsia. It is a good focal point for the participants to exchange ideas and share their experience with the common aim of advancing radiology in cancer care.”

RadiologyAsia ends on Saturday, 16 May. Visit www.radiologyasia.com to learn more.
