Hitachi Data Systems Strengthens ASEAN Leadership Team with Two New Appointments
SINGAPORE, July 14, 2017 — Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501), today announced two new leadership appointments in the ASEAN team: Joe Ong has been promoted to Vice President & General Manager, Hitachi Data Systems, ASEAN and Tan Chang Huong has been appointed Managing Director, Hitachi Data Systems, Singapore, to grow market share within its core business while also delivering on the company’s long-term goals for Social Innovation.
In his new role, Joe will be spearheading the overall ASEAN business portfolio. Joe has been with Hitachi Data Systems since 2012. As the Managing Director for Singapore and Vietnam, Joe has led the local teams for the last 5 years to grow their business by more than 100 percent.
As the Managing Director for Hitachi Data Systems in Singapore, Tan Chang Huong will be responsible for implementing and driving Hitachi Data Systems’ transformation. Prior to his new role, Chang Huong was the District Director who led the Public Sector team, driving strong growth in HDS’ defence and homeland security business.
