WAHA Expands Footprint in Asia With Opening of New Office in Seoul

Seoul, Korea / Singapore 18 February 2014 WAHA Offices, Korean-based serviced office cum business incubator, announced its new office opening in City Hall, Seoul – their third, coming after offices in the Gangnam district and in Singapore. The company aims to serve as a business accelerator, offering programmes with business matchmaking services and venture capital introduction along with expert consulting and administrative services with partner startups to grow at a quicker pace.

With Korea’s entrepreneurship ecosystem on the rise, boosted by the successes of social mobile services and mobile game developers, the new office is an excellent addition to the burgeoning startup landscape in the country.

Under the leadership of CEO Joe Cho, WAHA has had a successful first year, which was focused on establishing the first presences in Korea and Singapore with the clear objective to optimize workflows in order to offer real value to its clients.

For the next phase, WAHA has bold ambitions as plans, to open up eight more offices by year’s end in locations including New York City, Bangkok, San Francisco, Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City.

“Asia is a high growth area that has a lively scene of budding entrepreneurs, which makes it an ideal location to provide the right infrastructure and support for startups to grow - especially at the crucial stages of market expansion to overcome growing pains and develop into stable and successful companies”, said WAHA CEO Joe Cho. We see ourselves as partners as we aim to help firms to accelerate their growth. That’s why we want to be in key locations, including London, New York and San Francisco in the short-term. Our strong presence across Asia will allow our clients to expand and grow at an accelerated pace, utilizing WAHA’s strong network across the region and benefiting from hassle-free access to foreign markets.”

As a business accelerator, WAHA believes that their programmes have substantial benefits not only to fresh startups, but also for stable small businesses that require an added boost to propel them to the next level. Having established a strong network of business and links in Asia, the Korean-based business accelerator believes this gives them a competitive edge in the region.

“At WAHA we are constantly looking at how we can offer more specialised services to our clients and can also benefit from working with fellow startups from similar industries and learn together,” concluded Mr. Cho
