Youth Sharing with Seng Kang Secondary School Students
A group of students from Seng Kang Secondary School together with their teachers and volunteers from Calvary Community Care visited Evorich Flooring Group HQ last 4th March, 2015. An inspirational talk was conducted to the students at-risk of SKSS on how Dennis Teo (Group Managing Director, Evorich Flooring Group) overcome the same situation when he was at the same age and how he managed to be successful in his chosen path today.
Being known to be as a successful and award-winning entrepreneur for flooring industry today, who would have thought that Dennis Teo was a former gang leader/member and a notorious teen terror on his adolescent age?
Dennis was able to share every little detail on how he was changed from being a teen terror to a responsible husband and father to his family and to his colleagues. He also recalls all his hardships and trials before having all the success today. Nothing is impossible if you have the determination and character that will lead you to your dream. He generously gives advice to the students by making himself as an example and how important it is to be on the right path during their current age.
"I am hoping that in this simple way, I had inspired students who are currently facing some problems with their social and academic lives. I am also encouraging young generations to aim high and dream big as success comes from taking risks and chances; I am very sure that a cup of determination plus a pinch of perseverance and a bunch of character will make you at the top. I had fun interacting and sharing my stories to them."
