Kleenex Cottonelle Doesn’t Skip a Beat

Kleenex Cottonelle is committed to sustainable forest management and in Australia, the brand is taking action to end deforestation and protect the orang-utans by creating a movement in partnership with WWF-Australia to raise awareness about the plight of orang-utans who are in danger of losing their homes due to forest loss in Borneo with the launch of the new “ Keep the Heart of Borneo” beating program.

People are being urged to watch a short film and pledge their support at: www.keeptheheartbeating.com.au

In addition, for every pack of Kleenex Cottonelle sold in Australia from 10 th May – 9th June 2015, Kimberly-Clark Australia will donate 10 cents to WWF-Australia to help protect organ-utans and their homes. The minimum donation to be made by Kimberly-Clark Australia will be AU$150,000 and builds on the significant investment made by Kimberly-Clark Corporation globally into supporting sustainable forestry, investing more than $1 million in the past four years into driving sustainable forestry management.

The money raised will go to WWF-Australia to assist in protecting orang-utans in Borneo, by advancing sustainable forest management through FSC® certification, which is recognized as the the gold standard of forest management certification.

As the only partner of WWF-Australia’s Love Your Forests program, Kimberly-Clark Australia is educating people about the importance of seeking out FSC certified products when purchasing tissue & paper products. This new commercial program extends on the Love Your Forests position and shows the impact of deforestation through the eyes of the orang-utan in Borneo.

Studies have shown that sustainably managed forests with FSC certification can maintain orang-utan habitats. By choosing FSC certified paper products, such as Kleenex Cottonelle, consumers can be assured that the products they purchase are sourced from well managed forests.
