Malaysia's Khoon Hooi releases Autumn/Winter2011 Collection

This week, shopthemag.com releases the Autumn/Winter'11 Collection of Malaysia's Khoon Hooi. The brand, helmed by designer Khoon Hooi, is one of Malaysia's top brands most lauded for its masterful use of drapes, meticulous attention to workmanship and (particularly with this newest collection) innovative tailoring and detailing.

Of particular interest this season is a leather-woven belt detail with metallic flowers and laser-cut wool fabrics that Khoon Hooi says were inspired by a visit to an antique store at Le Puces de Saint-Quen in Paris. More specifically, it was a piece of 1930s gold mesh that sparked the creative outpouring.
