Swets adds JSTOR eBook content into SwetsWise catalog

Swets, the global market leader in managing professional and scholarly information, has announced that it has signed a deal with JSTOR, the digital library of journals, books and primary sources, to make all of their eBook titles available to order directly through its SwetsWise platform. With over 20,000 current and backlist books available in the Books at JSTOR program, this adds a wealth of high-quality additional content into the already extensive SwetsWise catalog.

“We’re delighted to welcome JSTOR books into the SwetsWise catalog,” said Linda Vendryes, Global Business Development Manager for Swets. “JSTOR is one of the most well known and widely used scholarly resources. Adding Books at JSTOR titles into our platform strengthens our position as the premier partner for libraries looking to simplify the selection and acquisition of eBook content.”

“JSTOR is committed to delivering great content to researchers–an objective shared by publishers and libraries,” said Frank Smith, Director of Books at JSTOR. “Making Books at JSTOR titles available to order directly via SwetsWise will make it easier to locate and purchase books of interest and make
them available to library  end users in an efficient manner that suits libraries’ internal workflows.”

Through its SwetsWise platform, Swets offers its customers access to the industry’s
largest one-stop shop of eBook publishers and aggregators. With over 1 million titles from close to 50 publishers and vendors contained in the catalog, libraries can quickly compare the pricing and policy features of different vendors, select the purchasing option to suit their budget and receive expert consultation on how best to develop their collection.
