Loud and proud – you’re all set to party with Sony’s brand new HT-GT1 Sound Bar

Sony’s latest Sound Bar pumps up the volume to awesome levels, whether you’re watching regular TV, watching a favourite movie or serving up all-night entertainment to a houseful of party guests.

A perfect partner for daily television viewing, the new HT-GT1 adds 260W of 2.1 channel sound with powerful bass to movies, games and your favourite shows. Cabinets for the Sound Bar and separate subwoofer are rigidly crafted in wood, damping rattles and resonance for hi-fi audio that’s crisp, clean and very loud indeed. Sony’s unique Clear Voice technology guarantees crystal-clear dialogue when you’re watching news or drama.

Connect Sound Bar to your TV, slip in a USB drive full of MP3 tracks, or hook up your iPhone/iPad/iPod or MP3 player and start making some serious noise. Just one touch links Sound Bar wirelessly by Bluetooth with NFC-enabled smartphones or tablets to enjoy your music collection loud and proud, with no cables to slow you down. You can even control Sound Bar via Bluetooth with your phone, using Sony’s free SongPal app for iOS/Android.

Ready to party? Built-in grab handles make it easy to carry the GT1 and subwoofer from room to room. The Sound Bar fixes neatly on top of the subwoofer cabinet at the perfect angle to direct sound at your audience.

Touch the BASS BAZUKA button and you’re ready for blast-off, boosting bass levels to crazy extremes while keeping things clear and tight. Sound Bar even looks as wild as it sounds, with colourful LED illumination that pulses in time with the music for your own sensational light show.

If you’ve already got a Sony audio mini system, Sound Bar connects directly with the handy Party Chain feature, adding some serious sonic muscle to your listening.

The new HT-GT1 Sound Bar from Sony is available in Europe from October 2014.
