PlayMemories Online service expands reach to 3 new European countries with added new features

• PlayMemories Online now available in Poland, Austria and Switzerland
• New user interface allows you to instantly enjoy 4K photo images on 4K BRAVIA TV 2014 models
• ‘All sync’ feature enables automatic upload of photos to PlayMemories Online which are then accessible on Smartphones, Tablets, PCs and compatible BRAVIA TVs

PlayMemories Online is Sony’s cloud-based photo and video service, which gives you unprecedented experience to easily sync, organise, and recall all your memories.

Unlike other photo sharing services or storage services which compete by storage size, PlayMemories Online provides users with an experience that brings all photographic memories together in one place and organises them intelligently.

The service, offered on Android™ and iOS platforms, as well as being accessible through a web browser, is currently available in twelve countries across Europe[i] and has just expanded to cover three new countries, Poland, Austria and Switzerland from the 20th January, 2014.

PlayMemories Online can now be used to display 4K photos on 2014 4K BRAVIA TV model. It allows users to instantly enjoy photo collections built up over the years and pictures that have been shared by friends and family in a 4K slideshow format with background music right from the home screen, just like watching a TV program.

The new ’All Sync’ feature automatically gathers all the photos stored on your smartphone, tablet or PC, and uploads them to your PlayMemories Online account. They’re stored in the PlayMemories cloud in HD resolution – and there’s no limit to the number of photos you can upload[ii]. Additionally, you can select your favourite images and movies stored on your mobile or PC and upload them individually in full resolution[iii]. Then view your picture library any time, any place on a smartphone, tablet, PC or compatible BRAVIA TV.
