Star designers Alexander Lervik and Aurélien Barbry for Georg Jensen exhibiting at Formex
The Formex trade fair, which opens its doors on Wednesday, January 15, is happy to announce this year the participation of the two successful designers, Alexander Lervik and Aurélien Barbry.
Alexander Lervik will be presenting his own brand, Tingest, at Formex – old traditions in a modern form. The collection consists of seven products in natural materials built around sustainability and the environment. It includes, for example, candleholders, vases and trays and is made in Sweden. Lervik drew on the landscape and nature for inspiration.
“This is a dream I have had for a long time, both to design and manufacture my own products. Creating an exclusive selection of well-designed products at a reasonable price with a focus on authentic craftsmanship and production in Sweden,” says Alexander Lervik.
Alexander Lervik has worked as a designer for 15 years. He has worked with some of the world's most prominent producers, including Moroso and Dark.
Georg Jensen will be presenting at Formex its new series of kitchen utensils that have sculptured forms and a functional design inspired by the Nordic kitchen. The designer behind this series is the famous designer, Aurélien Barbry. The products are based on simple, necessary and perfunctory tasks in the kitchen that are transformed for esthetic enjoyment. Barbry's products include high-quality knives, cutting boards, spoons and elegant salt and pepper shakers. They will be available in stores at the beginning of March 2014.
In addition to his collaboration with Georg Jensen, Aurélien Barbry has also worked with COR, Normann Copenhagen, Hay and ENO.
