ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering launches DiveDeep! junior engineer programme

  • Goal of DiveDeep! programme: inspire young civil engineers to pursue a job in ground engineering
  • Tailored to individual interests
  • Job security with permanent employment contract

Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH is announcing its own junior engineer programme called DiveDeep! for graduates of engineering studies with a focus on geotechnics/foundation engineering. The programme prepares young civil engineers for a position at ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering and offers individual development opportunities. Waiting for the young engineers after completing the programme is a permanent job in construction management, bid processing, work preparation, planning management in technical controlling or in the field of digitalisation and process management.

Ensuring competitiveness in the long term

The execution of technically demanding ground engineering projects throughout Europe requires special qualifications of the employees who are now being placed in the junior engineer programme DiveDeep! The training is not only tailored in terms of content, but also addresses the individual interests and abilities of the talents. ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering thus follows the example of other ZÜBLIN subdivisions, where a special junior engineer programme for building construction and civil engineering – as a supplement to the general trainee programme of the STRABAG/ZÜBLIN Group – has been successfully established for several years. The aim of DiveDeep! is to ensure the filling of important positions in technical areas of ground engineering. “At the same time, this can be an attractive career start for university graduates in the future industry of construction,” Gerold Borho, Head of Technical Services at Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH, is convinced.

High level of flexibility

In order to gain as much experience in ground engineering as possible, the young engineers are deployed in a wide variety of functional areas. Here they get to know the respective structures. The individual interests are in the foreground, because the participants in the DiveDeep! programme decide for themselves which functional areas they would like to get to know at ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering. In addition, the junior engineers can also gain experience abroad at one of the ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering construction sites in Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Romania, Austria or Switzerland. The total duration of the programme is also decided jointly, with a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 18 months.

The young engineers are supported by specialists and managers as well as a mentor who accompanies, advises and supports them in their personal and professional development.

Interested persons can now apply via the ZÜBLIN career portal www.karriere.zueblin.de. More information about the programme can be found here: www.zueblin-spezialtiefbau.de/divedeep
