Non-stop service to Stockholm Arlanda with Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines is now redirecting its air traffic to Scandinavia and will start flying non-stop from Addis Ababa to Stockholm Arlanda Airport with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. Today the carrier stops in continental Europe on the way to Stockholm, but starting in March 2017 Stockholm Arlanda will instead be the stopover en route to its final destination, Oslo.

easyJet is expanding its operations and now launches a direct service between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and the French city of Lyon. With this addition, the British low cost carrier will now fly to two destinations from Stockholm, along with its existing route to Geneva. In the Summer of 2017, the airline will also start flying non-stop between Stockholm and Milan.

SAS will expand service to and from Kiruna Airport by 30 per cent in its Winter timetable. After three quarters, more than 30 million passengers have flown to or from one of Swedavia’s airports. The number of passengers who have flown to or from Swedavia’s airports between January and September this year was 29,746,000. Both international (+6%) and domestic (+4) passenger volume is up; 19,688,000 passengers flew internationally and 10,058,000 flew domestically.

SAS continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and is launching five new routes to European destinations for the Summer of 2017. Two of the destinations, Munich and Krakow, will have year-round service. SAS will also start summer traffic to the Portuguese capital, Lisbon; Shannon, on the west coast of Ireland; and Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.
