In December, Stockholm Arlanda Airport set a new passenger record of 24.7 million passengers. The goal is to be Scandinavia’s leading airport, and Stockholm Arlanda is now further reducing its airport charges. “We are now reducing charges to airlines for the third straight year and will thus be even more competitive," says Elizabeth Axtelius, director of Aviation Business at Swedavia.

After three quarters, more than 30 million passengers have flown to or from one of Swedavia’s airports. The number of passengers who have flown to or from Swedavia’s airports between January and September this year was 29,746,000. Both international (+6%) and domestic (+4) passenger volume is up; 19,688,000 passengers flew internationally and 10,058,000 flew domestically.
