Czech Airlines launches a direct service from Malmö to Prague

Czech Airlines launches a four times weekly service connecting Malmö Airport, greater Copenhagen's second largest airport, with Prague. The airline is Malmö Airport´s first hub carrier connecting Swedish travelers to Czech Airlines network beyond Prag. 

Malmö Airport is now getting its first hub carrier through Czech Airlines. Prague is a classic weekend destination which offers both history, great food and culture. Malmö also has a lot to offers its visitors: close to the sea and nature, a multicultural city life and not least the city is on New York Times´ shortlist of best places to vist in 2016.

Prague is a new destination at Malmö Airport and the Swedish travellers will also be offered easy connections to Czech Airlines network of fifty destinations via Prague. 

“We are very pleased to be welcoming Czech Airlines to Malmö Airport. We have a steady growth of travellers and destinations, and now we are also adding Prague. This means the 1,3 million Swedes living close to Malmö Airport will have direct access to the efficient European hub in Prague”, says Peter Weinhandl, Airport Manager at Malmö Airport.

“We would be very pleased to welcome inhabitants of Malmö and its greater area on board of Czech Airlines new direct flights to Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in the world with the most complex and largest historical centre protected by UNESCO. Malmö is the Czech Airlines fifth city in Sweden directly connected by the Czech Airlines’ regular scheduled services to Prague and the third one in Scandinavia we’re launching in 2017 summer season as a new route. Thanks to our network we can offer the passengers from Malmö also connecting flights to other Czech Airlines destinations as to e.g. Beirut, Seoul, Skopje, Lisbon, Porto and others”, says Ján Tóth, Czech Airlines Director for Commerce and Marketing.

The Malmö - Prague service will be operated four times weekly from March 28 to end of October, 2017, departing Malmö on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The tickets for the new Czech Airlines’ Malmö – Prague service are available to book as of today at the company’s web pages at czechairlines.com and via travel agencies and online retailers. The price for one-way ticket starts from 603 SEK, return one from 1220 SEK including taxes and surcharges.
