New direct route from Gothenburg to Warsaw with LOT

In August LOT Polish Airlines starts a direct route to the Polish capital Warsaw from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport. LOT is currently the largest airline in Central- and Eastern Europe and through the hub Chopin Airport in Warsaw, the Swedish travelers will have access to an additional 70 routes in LOT’s network.

- Since 2015, the number of travelers from Gothenburg to Poland have more than doubled and today the number is 75 000 passengers . Therefore, we are pleased to welcome LOT to Landvetter so we can offer more passengers a quick and easy direct route to the trendy and exciting city of Warsaw. It is also an important route for business travelers in both Poland and Western Sweden, says Charlotte Ljunggren, Airport Director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.

- Gothenburg is a strategic destination for businesstravelling to our hub in Warsaw. We are currently the largest route operator in Central and Eastern Europe. We want to utilize this potential for further develop our operations in the region. Only in Poland, the number of passengers will increase by at least 5 percent per year, and that means we can offer more attractive connections, says Adrian Kubicki, Corporate Communications Executive Director at LOT Polish Airlines.

LOT Polish Airlines will operate the route in cooperation with the Estonian airline Nordica. The aircraft is a Bombardier CRJ900 with 88 seats. Departures from Landvetter at 08.00 every day of the week except Sundays.
