Wizz Air starts a direct service between Gothenburg and Vilnius

Wizz Air starts a direct service to Vilnius from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport. The airline will operate a twice weekly service between Gothenburg and the Lithuanian capital starting in Spring of 2017.

In the spring of 2017 the low cost carrier Wizz Air will start a direct service between Gothenburg Landvetter and Vilnius. With an increased connectivity to eastern European destinations gives the opportunity for western Swedes to discover new, exciting cities. Many Swedish companies, such as banks and call centers, are also established in the Baltic countries. The new direct service also facilitates traveling for many Lithuanians coming to Gothenburg for both work and tourism.

"We are pleased that Wizz Air is expanding with another direct route connecting our region to one of the Baltic's interesting capitals. The new route increases the possiblity for exchanges between both our countries within business relations and tourism", says Charlotte Ljunggren, Airport Director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.

Wizz Air flies directly to many Eastern European cities from Gothenburg Landvetter: Belgrade in Serbia, Budapest in Hungary, Gdansk and Warsaw in Poland, Skopje in Macedonia and Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Gothenburg - Vilnius service will be operated by Wizz Air twice a week starting March 26, 2017.
