Swegon Hotel Solution at ABX, Boston, US

Swegon Inc, a chilled beam and demand controlled ventilation manufacturer, has been selected as one of 2012’s innovative building products and will showcase its next-generation Hotel Solution as one of the featured products of the Architecture Boston Expo (ABX) Innovation Pavilion 2012.

Hosted by the Boston Society of Architects, ABX is one of the largest events for the design and construction industry in the country, and the largest regional conference and tradeshow. The Innovation Pavilion provides a venue to spotlight select new and innovative building products. The ABX Innovation Pavilion will be open November 14-16, 2012, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

With the Swegon Hotel Solution, guest rooms are cooled, heated and ventilated silently with PARAGON comfort modules, while public areas such as the restaurant, lobby and conference room area are cooled, heated and ventilated with PARASOL or PARASOL PX comfort modules. These comfort modules use advanced chilled beam technology, known for saving substantial energy, and operating silently. Comfort modules receive ducted ventilation air from an air handler, and cooled water from a chiller. Factory-mounted CONDUCTOR demand ventilation controls further decrease the energy used in a room by adjusting airflow, cooling or heating in response to room temperature, occupancy, pressure and/or CO2 inputs, providing just the needed amount. Further energy-savings, and system safeguarding, are provided by on-board monitoring of operable window and condensation status. Network connectability provides seamless interaction with the hotel’s building automation system. First costs are also reduced with factory mounting of water valves, pre-wiring of controls and by simple plug-and-play startup.
