REACT – An easy way to save energy
Swegon, market-leading producer and supplier of energy efficient ventilation and climate systems and the largest wholly-owned company in Investment AB Latour, is now releasing a new product, the air duct damper REACT.
REACT is a variable-flow commissioning damper which/that regulates air flow according to the demands of the room, thus saving energy. "Why boost the air supply when no one is present," asks Mats Berglund, Product Manager at Swegon. "As ventilation requires energy and therefore costs money, it is clearly better to ventilate following the demands," he continues.
REACT solves this by regulating the airflow according to the demands of the room. In order to estimate the demand a sensor is needed, such as an air quality sensor or a temperature sensor. These sensors are available as accessories. In addition to this an accessory control unit, REACT CU, is available, managing multiple supply air dampers and dampers for central exhaust air evacuation.
REACT is very easy to install and commission. The min and max flow of the damper is adjusted using an ordinary screwdriver. The adjusted flow is set and read directly in the display of the regulator.
REACT is available in two main editions, for circular and rectangular air ducts respectively. If the installation requires REACT to be insulated, the damper is designed to be easily covered by a standard insulation sheet. No special insulated damper version is therefore needed.
REACT will replace Swegons entire product series VAR.
