Swegon China - Open and ready for business!

Swegon is broadening its horizon: The European market leader for ventilation and indoor climate systems has received the business license for its newest subsidiary: Swegon Indoor Climate Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in China. Country Manager Andreas Engström and his team can now start promoting Swegon’s solutions and systems in the People’s Republic of China.

Swegon’s office is located in Shanghai which is situated the Eastern part of China.
- Being located here allows us to cover the major domestic markets in China, namely Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou in South China, reports Andreas Engström, the Country Manager, and adds: We are currently two people working in the office but more staff will be employed during 2012 to market selected products from Swegon Group’s product portfolio, among them GOLD air handling units.

The market for indoor climate solutions in China is significant and offers many opportunities now and in the future. The Chinese Government is planning to invest 7 trillion CNY between 2011 and 2015 in the construction industry. One of the highest priorities for the Government is to reduce the environmental footprint this huge investment will bring along.

- With our highly energy-efficient systems, we are very well positioned to meet these requirements, states Andreas Engström. Coupled with the growth of LEED-certified projects inChina, the company’s long-experience from Green Buildings and high LEED-credentials of Swegon’s products will further help to develop Swegon China’s business.
