We’ve flown a long way – the past year at Testbirds

As 2018 is coming to an end we look back over the year that has passed and a few of the many exciting moments we’ve experienced. The most impactful news of 2018 was the latest round of investment into Testbirds’ future – €7 million geared mainly towards further international expansion and the development of new technologies. Our international office in Amsterdam moved into a new home with space to continue growing, and evolving our team with the help of this investment.

When the tech world changes and new innovations come to light, new demand for testing comes with it. One of the biggest innovations in past years is the chatbot or virtual assistant, which needs to be evaluated and trained to be able to give appropriate, human-like responses. We recently launched our new service to test your chatbot’s language abilities, as well as it’s functionality and usability, made possible by the new round of investment. We’ve also re-designed our Device Cloud for GDPR-compliance and added new features to provide the best possible solution for your testing needs.

In November we visited MobileOne together with DAZN and talked about improving mobile experiences and performing user testing in unexplored markets. Philipp Benkler, one of our founders, went to Bits & Pretzels in Munich to tell our story and participate in inspiring discussions regarding the start-up world where we have our origins. Philipp also authored a chapter on self-leadership and competence development in the book “Kompetenzen der Zukunft – Arbeit 2030”. We’ve also held a webinar together with Qualitest on the topic of UX, the current state of digital products, and what the future of UX looks like.

These are just a fraction of our adventures in the past year that led to us being chosen as one of the winners of the fastest growing tech scale-ups in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 awards, and one of the fastest growing companies in Europe by the Financial Times! Check out our other blog posts if you’d like to read more about what we’ve been up to, and stay updated on things to come in 2019.
