Summer Campaign Geared Towards Foreign Tourists Visiting Japan “TOBU YUKATA MATSURI 2016”

Tobu Railway is pleased to announce that it will hold TOBU YUKATA MATSURI 2016, a summer tourism campaign geared towards foreign tourists visiting Japan during the summer vacation period.

As part of the campaign, foreign visitors are encouraged to enjoy Japan’s kimono-wearing culture in settings that include the Asakusa-Tokyo Skytree Town Area, which encompasses well-known Tokyo tourist spots such as the Senso-ji Temple and Tokyo Skytree, as well as Lake Chuzenji and the World Heritage-listed temples and shrines of Nikko, which have developed as international summer resort areas. Visitorswho take pictures dressed in yukata or with a summer theme and visit participating facilities after posting the photo to social mediawill be presented with prizessuch as a set of Yukata-patterned chopsticks or decorative pins, great as Japanese sightseeing souvenirs.

Various Tobu Group facilities will also be running yukata-themed campaigns concurrently,and will be offering gifts and summer event information to help customers enjoy sightseeing while wearing a yukata even more.
