Press release -

TradeWinds SmartShipping set to attract the forward-thinkers of shipping

As all signs point towards even tougher times in the shipping business, the best thing a ship owner can do is keep costs low and improve efficiency. In other words, buckle down and weather the storm.

The TradeWinds SmartShipping conference is based precisely on this premise and will leave the issues of green or sustainable shipping to others, while focusing on the very real and very practical challenges facing ship owners and operators today.

Set to take place on 18th October 2012 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore, the key topics to be addressed include:

- What makes for smarter ships and smarter operations?

- Is there funding available to be smarter? Do you need funding to get smart?

- What are charterers doing to drive and promote smarter shipping?

Confirmed speakers include forward-thinking ship owners and managers such as Masterbulk and Thome Ship Management as well as charterer Cargill, which participates actively in efficient shipping initiatives.

The conference will be accompanied by a gala dinner (by invitation only) proudly sponsored by Rightship.
