I visited China for business first time in one and a half years.

From Haneda to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, then 4 hours drive, I arrived to Tsuneishi group (ZHOUSHAN) Shipbuilding Inc. located in Retiao Village, Xiushan Island, Daishan County, Zhoushan City.

- Tsuneishi group (ZHOUSHAN) Shipbuilding Inc.

It has been so much easier to get to our shipbuilding yard since a 36km Hangzhou bay long bridge that connects Shanghai and Ningbo was built in 2008. It used to require one night stay in Hangzhou before getting there. It is a remarkable difference. It is almost like the bullet train moving from Tokyo to Tsuneishi! (lol)

By the way, it needs a 50km bridge cross from Ningbo to Zhoushan city, my father says it was the choice seeing through this bridge’s construction in the future.

Tsuneishi group (ZHOUSHAN) Shipbuilding Inc. located in the island “Xiushan”, which is four hours from Shanghai and one and a half hours from Ningbo harbor has three times the Tsuneishi factory in Tsuneishi, Japan and the same size of our Philippines factory.

Here, more than 4,000 people, including partner companies, we are building a bulk cargo vessels and container ships.

This shipyard, which was established in 2003, is the only full ownership of capital shipyard out of the other ones in China,

This shipyard has grown its ability of shipbuilding enormously based on the experience in Philippines.

In the background of this growth, I think it has the fact that there are each large and small shipyards and maritime cluster exists.

However, this kind of thing cannot be done easily for obtaining the land and making a factory in this remote area of large China. (^^;)

I cannot enough show my respect on how the pioneers overcome the difficulties on many challenges and their perseveranceto achieve the success which brought a success in China.

The purpose of my visit this time is to have interviews from the fourth accounting director in this land and the presidents of our related companies.

Even my stay is short, however, I will do my best.

I literally feel the sense of speed of Tsuneishi group (!) by reading back my old articles in this blog written at several times of my visit since early 2004 when the factory construction was decided to start. (^^;)
