Alma Property Partners launched as a new platform in the Nordic real estate investment market

Simon de Château, co-founder and former CEO of Sveafastigheter, has formed a new Nordic real estate investment management company, Alma Property Partners, together with a group of senior real estate professionals. Mr. de Château will be Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of the new company.

Alma Property Partners is a Stockholm-based real estate investment company focused on the Nordic Region. The company will manage real estate investment funds on behalf of global institutional investors such as pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, family offices and financial institutions.

“We believe in strong alignment with our investors, which is why Alma Property Partners is entirely owned by the people actively managing the company. We feel the timing is right for this type of platform and that this is the best model for attracting top real estate investment talent,” says Simon de Château.

Mr. de Château, who has over 20 years of real estate investment experience, will be Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of the new company, responsible for real estate investment activities including developing investment strategies, establishing partnerships and deal origination. He co-founded Sveafastigheter in 2003 and successfully managed three Nordic real estate funds that are among the top performing funds in the region.

The founding team also includes Christofer Lundquist, who will be Chief Operating Officer, responsible for deal origination and leading the asset management activities. Mr. Lundquist has over 18 years of experience in property development, real estate investments, asset management and structured finance and a background from RBS Nordisk Renting, Kungsleden and as Chief Operating Officer at Hemsö.

Sloan Wobbeking has agreed to join the company in January 2015 as co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wobbeking spent the last five years at Niam, a leading Nordic real estate fund manager. He has over 15 years of experience in private equity real estate, corporate strategy and finance.
