June 4, 2019 - The epic confrontation with the fire djinn Qadim takes center stage as Guild Wars 2 launches a new raid, The Key of Ahdashim, Tuesday June 11.
The raid takes place immediately following the events of the Mythwright Gambit raid, in which players stepped inside the Mystic Forge to help Zommoros beat back his djinn rival. Now, Qadim has invaded the djinn’s home city of Ahdashim, determined to hijack its mythical power and place himself above all other djinn. Should he succeed, Ahdashim will become a black hole of magical corruption, infecting every djinn alive -- and through them the natural world itself.
In addition to the challenging group content Guild Wars 2 raids are known for, there will also be new open world rewards players can earn by assisting the Mystic Forge Skritt in Lion’s Arch. By recovering special Condensed Ley-Line Essence items from world bosses throughout Tyria, players can earn Shiny and Ultra Shiny weapon skins to take on Qadim in style. This open world activity is for a limited time only and ends June 25, after which time Condensed Ley-Line Essence can be purchased from the Exchange Operative in Lion’s Arch.
