Danish window manufacturer VITRAL® achieves ROI within 14 days

VITRAL contacted BIMobject® during a seminar in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the seminar Ben O’Donnell, Chief Technology Officer, at BIMobject AB and Johnny Blædel, Sales Manager, at BIMobject Denmark, gave a general presentation on the BIMobject® Portal and how it could inform building- and interior-product manufacturers about local projects. VITRAL is one of the most proactive companies in the Danish market and had tried, a few years previously, to develop their own BIM objects but the timeframe and costs simply got out of hand and the project was cancelled, unfinished.

VITRAL decided to publish on the BIMobject® Portal its most popular window - VITRAL A74, which represents 65% of overall sales, and this proved to be a huge success. From this source VITRAL identified and managed to win four new projects in just 14 days! The projects are mainly high-end living spaces in Denmark and were completely unknown to the sales staff before the BIM objects were published. VITRAL was alerted to these projects from the information provided by the BIMobject® pre-sales tool - BIManalytics™.

Project management of the development and implementation of the BIM objects, and use of BIManalytics™, was provided by Patrik Peterson, Digital Content Manager at BIMobject®. Using web meetings and demonstrations Patrik worked closely with the staff at VITRAL to guide them through the entire project. The close relationship which developed has been greatly appreciated by VITRAL and they have used this initial success of effective process and return on investment as the springboard for further investment in BIM. The next batch of BIM objects is already in development.
