OSRAM’s strategy of product innovation, technical and human support makes this initial investment in BIM a natural step for OSRAM. The OSRAM products are available as BIM objects for Revit and ArchiCAD from today onward on the BIMobject® Portal.

- In order to follow our customers in their global action, we created an entity many years ago called Project & Solutions - entirely dedicated to projects. Henceforth OSRAM is now acting in terms of offering complete lighting systems and application solutions for interior decoration, facades and/or building projects. We are therefore aiming to develop our presence in the lighting solutions market by getting closer to the specification process and consolidating our technical support. We wish to forge closer links to the decision makers of the building market: public and private investors, architects, consulting firms, distributors and builders. Thus we work ahead and as early as possible in order to play a part in the choice of the solutions implemented, said David Meyer, Marketing and Communication Manager.

The range consist of both interior and industrial lighting. Features such as light source, light intensity, temperature, power consumption, colours and variations are integrated in the objects. MEP connections enable electricity planning in an early stage to ease logistics and set effective time frames. Architects will have great use of the highly intelligent objects when calculating spaces in relation to natural light, irrespective of the size of each individual project.
