Legends Incorporated discuss why the 10x rule lays at the foundation of their business practice.

Originally published in 2011, the 10x rule (a book written by Grant Cardone) is considered one of the most influential pieces of motivational literature to have been written to date. The sales and marketing expert,  Legends Incorporated, swear by the book and believe that each of its young professionals can take vast amounts of inspiration and knowledge from its teachings. This week the firm has released its summary of the book, comments on why as a company it finds it so inspirational and how it intends to integrate its tips into current business practices.

One of the key points Legends Incorporated wants its workforce to consider is Cardone’s comments on goal setting and individual ambitions. He looks at a range of entrepreneurs and argues that the most successful set their targets extremely high and consequently work 10x harder than anyone else would to achieve these targets. Kamil Nosal , the managing director, considers this extremely important in the sales industry, as unlike contracted jobs, what ones gain from the role is equal to the effort they put in. Mr Nosal argues that if one puts in 10x the effort, they will gain 10x the profit if they take on board the rigorous training Legends Incorporated provides young professionals. He is keen that every individual understands success and effort are related, and once they start their own business, they will be required to work harder than they ever have before.

The book goes further and sets out four common mistakes, mistakes that have this week been re-iterated to Legends Incorporated's young workforce. The company is keen for its workforce to take these on board and think about whether each action they take will lead to these mistakes or not. The mistakes are as follows:

  • Common mistake 1: Setting your sights too low.
  • Common mistake 2: Underestimating how much action is required.
  • Common mistake 3: Spending too much time competing and not enough time dominating their sector.
  • Common mistake 4: Underestimating the amount of adversity they will have to overcome.
