BT has unveiled the latest version of its BT Cloud online storage service*, releasing new features and improvements in response to customer feedback.
BT Cloud is a safe and secure auto backup service, which keeps a copy of everything important on a user’s devices, so the most recent versions of files are always protected. Users can access files and photos wherever they have an internet connection, using the BT Cloud app and desktop client, and share files with friends and family via email, Facebook and Twitter.
The latest version of BT Cloud continues to expand its smartphone support by introducing a new mobile app for the rapidly growing Windows Phone 8 platform
The new BT Cloud Sync folder gives customers the flexibility to create, edit and view files from any device. Users can start writing a document on one computer and continue it or view it on another, seamlessly. Just clicking on save makes it available on any device. The BT Cloud Sync folder is also integrated into the desktop, so adding files is as simple as dragging and dropping or by copy and pasting.
Additionally, BT has made it even easier to share those summer holiday pictures and videos with friends and family, as the latest version of BT Cloud means users can share folders as well as files, so customers can simply tick a folder and share it by email or via Facebook and Twitter.
Changes to further improve the navigation and layout of BT Cloud have also been introduced, making it even easier to use and access devices, files and folders regardless of where it is being accessed from.
Dave McDonald, BT, said: “BT Cloud has proved to be a great success. Nearly a quarter of a million customers have signed up since we launched 10 months ago and more than 355,000 apps and desktop clients have been downloaded. We’ve listened to what our customers have been telling us and made BT Cloud even better.”
BT Cloud is more than just a safe and secure backup. Customers can view and playback their files on any device, mark them for offline use and users can view them even without connecting to the internet.
