Liverpool and Sefton Chambers of Commerce save more than £18,000 a year through flexible working deal with BT

Liverpool and Sefton Chambers of Commerce has signed a five year agreement with BT to bring its fixed and flexible communications together to create an agile working solution for its employees.

The agreement means that the chambers of commerce has reduced its costs by more than £1500 a month, giving it an annual saving of more than £18,000.

The new arrangement will mean that employees can take calls wherever they’re working by using the BT Cloud Voice app on their mobile phones. The app brings many calling features within easy reach of the user, such as call forwarding, routing, transfer and recording as well as a PC application that enables a receptionist to manage incoming calls without a traditional switchboard.

Richard Daly, Liverpool and Sefton Chambers of Commerce director of business development, said: “This agreement with BT Local Business will make a world of difference to how our employees work.

“BT Local Business has given us a solution that combines our fixed and mobile voice needs. Now, rather than missing calls when they are out and about, our employees will be able to answer them on their mobiles and work in a much more agile manner, saving them time and saving us money.”

Kieran Charleson, BT’s North West regional director, said: “We have a long standing relationship with the Liverpool and Sefton Chambers of Commerce and it’s great that we have been able to provide a solution that meets its employees’ needs to be able to take calls on the go.

“We are also supporting the chamber with sponsorship of a members’ hotdesk area and agile business centre in its offices in Old Hall Street, Liverpool.”

The BT Local Business which agreed the deal, Branded Telecoms Ltd, is part of a national network of independent businesses backed by BT and mobile operator EE, which brings technology products, services, expertise and local understanding to the doorstep of the region’s small and medium sized businesses.
