Don’t let your food waste go to waste

It's Recycle Week - and there are several great reasons why everyone in Bury should recycle food waste.

* It’s easy to do;

* It saves space in your rubbish bin;

* It’s collected more often;

* It saves money for other services;

* It’s re-used and transformed into high quality compost.

Not got what you need to recycle food waste?

If you don’t have a brown bin or a kitchen caddy, request a FREE brown bin, kitchen caddy and liners online at https://www.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=10821.

If you already have a brown bin, but don’t have a kitchen caddy/liners:

* Pick them up FREE from Bury Town Hall reception, 3 Knowsley Place reception, Whittaker Street reception or collect from one of our libraries.

Food waste recycling – it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3

1.Line your kitchen caddy with a compostable liner.

2.Fill your liner with food waste.

3.When your liner is full, tie a knot at the top of your liner and put it in your brown bin.
