Flooding - latest
Extra collections of grey and brown bins are being carried out today for those homes most affected by flooding, with Morris Street, Riverside Road, Seddon Avenue, Cumberland Crescent and Lakeland Crescent added to the existing list.
Highways services will be out again with the general tidy up and continuing to check road gullies.
As already notified, there will be five skips provided today at Warth Road, Kendal Drive, York Street (near Ripon Close) and 2 in Dumers Lane (next to the sub station at the top of Borough Avenue).
Street cleansing and waste management are also out again, removing debris from roads and helping clear flood damaged items put out by residents in flood hit areas.
Some of the parks areas such as Nuttall Park and Close Park were also heavily flooded and will be surveyed over the next few days.
Residents can still report emergencies on 0161 253 6606.
