Summerseat bus service - news from TfGM

Transport for Greater Manchester has announced that the 477 bus service is unable to serve Summerseat due to the problems caused by recent flooding. The service will now terminate on Newcombe Road, Holcombe, until further notice.

The weather conditions and recent collapse of the Waterside Pub mean that there is currently nowhere safe enough for large vehicles to turn within the village.

During the closure, the Ramsbottom and Tottington Local Link service will continue to maintain door to door links from Summerseat to the surrounding area – including Longsight Road, Holcombe Brook, Nuttall and Ramsbottom.

The Ramsbottom and Tottington Local Link service runs Mondays to Saturdays 6.30am to 10pm and from 10.30am to 10pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays (excluding New Year’s Day).

Further information can be found on the TFGM website (www.tfgm.com/buses/local_link).

Any residents wishing to register or book journeys should phone 0161 763 1655 and ask for Local Link. The Local Link service is run by Elton Bullit Cars.
