Update - getting back to normal

Nearly all roads and bridges affected by yesterday's flooding have now re-opened as the clear-up continues.

Bridges at Pilkington Way, Warth, Stand Lane and Dumers Lane are now open, and the Ramsbottom (A58) bridge should be open by lunchtime.

The Summerseat Bridge, where the former Waterside pub fell down, will be closed for the foreseeable future.

Castle Leisure Centre in Bury is still open for anyone wanting advice or help, but the emphasis now is on clearing up and getting people back to their homes.
