Winter opening times for recycling centres

From Sunday 25 October, opening hours at local recycling centres - including Every Street in Bury and Cemetery Road in Radcliffe - will change.

For the winter the 20 recycling centres across Greater Manchester will be open from 8am to 6pm every day with the exception of Salford Road recycling centre which opens 10am – 4pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays (all recycling centres will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day).

The network of recycling centres allows residents the flexibility to use any centre, a local site or one that is on route to work or another destination.

The recycling centres accept up to 23 types of material from textiles to TVs to fridge freezers and fluorescent tubes.

There are also community furniture re-use schemes at some of the centres, where residents can donate their re-usable furniture.
