All things Prestwich at the Township Forum

Press release -

All things Prestwich at the Township Forum

Prestwich residents are invited to play their part in local democracy at the next meeting of the local Township Forum on Wednesday 17 July.

The meeting will include feedback on the recent Parklife event in Heaton Park, and information on a consultation due to start in August on Bury’s Core Strategy and how this applies to Prestwich.

There will be a presentation of the draft Area Plan for Prestwich with details of targets and tasks for the township forum over the next 12 months around health, employment, education and learning, community safety, community pride and town centre regeneration.

There will also be the usual open forum where members of the public can raise any questions or issues of local concern.

The meeting is at the Longfield Suite in Prestwich, and starts at 6.30pm.

Councillor Paddy Heneghan, chair of Prestwich Township Forum, said: “We offer a warm welcome to all residents and hope that people will come along and listen to what’s going on in Prestwich and air their views. We are always happy to hear about the good work and events that are happening in local communities and would love you to come along and tell us about them.”
