Artistic boost for mayor’s charities

The Mayor of Bury’s charities have received another Christmas present thanks to MASA-UK Art Gallery and Gifts.

Gallery owner Matija Sapundzieska handed over a cheque raised from sales held at her November exhibition, plus two paintings donated by artists which will be sold to raise further funds.

The mayor, Councillor Dorothy Gunther, gratefully received the donations from Matija in the mayor’s parlour, and the proceeds will go to Bury Hospice, Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, and the RNLI.

MASA-UK is based in Bolton Street, Bury. More information about the gallery is on its website: https://www.masa-uk.co.uk/
