Press release -

Away on election day? Need a proxy vote?

Anyone who needs a proxy vote in the 7 May General Election and Bury Council elections must apply for one by 5pm on Tuesday 28 April.

Residents who are unable to vote in person can ask someone to vote on their behalf. This is called a proxy vote, and you can ask anyone to act as your proxy - as long as they’re registered to vote and they’re allowed to vote in the same type of election.

If you would like a proxy vote, contact Bury Council’s elections office on 0161 253 5252 or email electionservices@bury.gov.uk
