By-election results in Bury

The Conservatives retained both North Manor and Church wards in last night’s (Thurs 15 Nov) by-elections for Bury Council.

The by-elections were held following the resignation of former members Bob Bibby and Jim Taylor, and the results announced at Castle Leisure Centre in Bury.

The line-up on Bury Council remains at: Labour 36 seats, Conservatives 12, Liberal Democrats 2, and Independent 1.
