Flooding, carers and fostering – at Prestwich Township Forum

Residents are invited to the next meeting of Prestwich Township Forum which is on Thursday 12 September at the Longfield Suite.

The agenda will include a presentation on Bury’s Flood Risk policy, and how this will affect the local area. There will also be a presentation on the work of Bury Carer’s Service and the range of services that they are able to offer.

Bury’s fostering team will be on hand with information and advice for anyone who is interested in becoming a foster carer.

The meeting starts at 6.30pm and will include the usual open forum where members of the public can raise questions or issues of local concern.

Councillor Paddy Heneghan, forum chair, said: “Following last year’s floods in some parts of Prestwich, this topic is bound to be of interest to local residents. We offer a warm welcome to all residents and hope that people will come along and listen to what’s going on in Prestwich and air their views. We are always happy to hear about the good work and events that are happening in local communities and would love you to come along and tell us about them.”
