Free courses to help get a job

A BCS Entry Level 3 course, available free of charge to people on qualifying benefits, will take place at Prestwich Library and Adult Learning Centre.

The course will focus mainly on the Universal Jobmatch, giving people plenty of practice using the site and searching for jobs. The course is ideal for people who have only limited experience of using a computer, as it includes advice on using the Internet and setting up an email account.

The courses, which run fortnightly, start on 10 September and will be held over four days; either Monday to Thursday (9.30am to 4pm) or Fridays (9.30am to 12.30pm).

You can enrol at Bury Adult Learning Centre or Prestwich, Whitefield or Ramsbottom Libraries.

For further information, contact Barbara Harvey, curriculum leader at Bury Adult Learning Service, on 0161 253 7595.
