Get your Christmas cards for good causes

Festive spirit was in full swing at Bury Tourist Information Centre (TIC) as the Mayor of Bury officially launched the sale of ‘Cards for Good Causes’ charity Christmas cards.

After last year’s bumper sales, the Tourist Information Centre will have twice as many cards as usual, with shoppers able to choose cards from 25 national and local charities.

This is the tenth year that the TIC has been selling these cards, and has raised more than £22,000 for good causes in this time.

The Bury pop-up shop is part of a network of more than 300 temporary shops run by Cards for Good Causes, the UK’s largest charity Christmas card organisation. It represents more than 250 charities including Cancer Research UK, Barnardo’s, NSPCC, Alzheimer’s Society and RNLI as well as a number of local charities

  • Also on sale at the TIC is the Official 2020 Bury calendar which this year includes some stunning views from all over the borough taken by local residents. Each month features a scenic image of the area including Holcombe Hill, Ramsbottom, Bury and Radcliffe. The calendars are very popular and make a lovely Christmas present.

The Tourist Information Centre is located in the Fusilier Museum on Moss Street where you will find a well-stocked gift shop for Xmas shopping ideas.
