Press release -

Homework Helper

Welcome to the online Homework Helper service

The Homework Helper service is here to help you you find the information you need to get your homework done. We cannot do your homework for you, but we can make sure you get all the help you need.

How does it work?

Simply fill in the form below and press the CHAT button - Please note that after pressing CHAT wait for the Homework Helper to answer and please do not press CHAT again. If we're busy you may have to wait a few minutes for your turn. A member of staff will then join you live online and work with you to find the information you need.

When you have finished you will get a full transcript of the session delivered to the email address you provide. Sometimes the question you submit may be too complicated to answer right away - if so the member of staff will arrange to get back to you later via your email address.

When is the service available?

The Homework Helper service is available Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15pm to 5:15pm.

The Homework Helper is powered by Question Point software from OCLC as part of the Global Reference Network.

Security: We would like to assure parents that we regard children's privacy and security online as paramount. Although this service utilises internet chat technology it is configured so that your child is only ever in communication with our staff, not with other users of the service. Any personal details (e.g. email address) that your child supplies in using the service are only available to our staff and we will not share such information with any other persons. No third party is able to login on the system and read details of your child or their enquiry. After a "Homework Helper" session a complete transcript of the "conversation" between the child and our staff will be sent by email to the address supplied to us.
