Packed agenda for township forum

Whitefield and Unsworth residents are invited to the next meeting of the local township forum on Tuesday 10 September.

The meeting will include an update on the current position regarding Whitefield House, in response to a request made at the last forum meeting in July.

The council’s foster care team will be there to give information to those considering fostering, and there will be a presentation about Bury’s proposed flood risk management policy on which consultation starts on Monday 2 September.

The meeting is at the Elms Centre and will include the usual open forum for residents to ask questions and raise matters.

Councillor Ann Audin, forum chair, said: “We hope that local residents will come along and join us at the meeting. The agenda is on key local issues that have been brought to the forum requesting information and we want to hear the views of local people.”
