Press release -
Prestwich High Street – online consultation extended to 30 December
Residents have an extra week to have their say on a £2 million plan to transform the environment around the main road through Prestwich.
Online consultation has been extended to 30 December, and there are still four drop-in sessions at Prestwich Library for people to view the proposals: they are on 12, 13, 17 and 20 December (all from 10am to noon).
Please note that Prestwich Library is closed from mid-day on Wednesday 23 Dec until Monday 4 Jan, so anyone who wishes to complete a hard copy of the questionnaire will need to submit it by 23 Dec.

The proposals, funded with £1.5m from Bury Council and £500,000 from Transport for Greater Manchester, aim to give Prestwich a lively high street, full of independent retailers, with a much improved environment and measures to tackle congestion.
The scheme aims to:
- Improve the town centre environment for all
- Improve pedestrian movement and accessibility
- Support local businesses
- Attract additional public and private investment
- Reduce the impact of traffic while maintaining traffic flow
