Round up a team for the big annual tournament

Families, individuals and beginners are invited to have a go at rounders at the Bury Rounders League gala on Sunday 11 August.

The main tourney will see 32 local rounders teams battling it out against each other, after which all members of the local community can enjoy a game.

The gala takes place at Elton Vale Sports Club in Elton Vale Road, Bury,

with the ‘come and play’ matches starting at 2.30pm. There will also be fun activities for all the family.

Whether you’re an individual or already have a team made up of friends and family, you can get involved, have some fun and meet new people.

Bury Sport and Physical Activity Service are involved in the event, as they are keen to encourage more people to take part in the sport, in partnership with the Bury league and the national body Rounders England.

There will also be an information stand about other rounders opportunities where you can find out which teams are looking for players and guidance on how to set up your own team.

For more details, and to involved, call 0161 253 5893 or email sports.development@bury.gov.uk
