Tickets now on sale for Bury Sports Awards night

Bury’s annual celebration of local sporting achievement takes place on Friday 13 September at Radcliffe Civic Suite.

Tickets are now on sale for the Bury Sports Awards 2012/13, and the evening willinclude guest speakers, presentation of the awards, entertainment and a four0course meal.

The awards are organised by Bury Sport and Physical Activity Service in partnership with Radcliffe and Bury South Sports Forum.

Prizes will be won by individuals or groups in six categories, and the winners will go on to represent Bury at the Greater Manchester Sports Awards:

* Coach of the Year

* Club of the Year

* Volunteer of the Year

* Unsung Hero

* Sports Achiever of the Year

* Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year

There will also be six special recognition awards:

* Prestwich Special Recognition Award

* Radcliffe Special Recognition Award

* Primary School Recognition Award

* Secondary School Special Recognition Award

* Young Leader Award

* Changing Lifestyle Recognition Award
