London's TotallySwedish to launch a range of exciting new Swedish deli products

The Scandinavia Show at Earls Court is the biggest annual event for Scandinavian food and design in London on the 6th and 7th of October. TotallySwedish, who specialise in Swedish foods will be exhibiting at stand No. 127.

"At the show we will be launching a range of regional artisan foods, most of which have received awards by Husmansbord and Jakten på Sveriges bästa landskapsmat", says Annethe Nathan, founder and owner of TotallySwedish.

Husmansbord arrange regional events all over Sweden, where local food producers showcase their products. Products are graded by a panel of experts from the food industry, ranging from chefs and food marketers, to retailers, farmers and restaurateurs. The best products recived a Husmansbord Certificate.

"The enthusiasm for Swedish food has grown in London and the UK over the past couple of years", says Annethe Nathan, "we are seeing an increasing interest in artistan food from organic farms and meats from animals that have lived a good and humane life."

Among the new products to be launched by TotallySwedish in October are Lingonberry jam (Lingonsylt), Cloudberry jam (Hjortonsylt), and fresh berry juices from Torfolk Gård in the Värmland region. Also from Värmland comes a range of deli sausages from Värmlandschark, wild elk salami from Hygns Vilt, and dried chanterelle mushrooms from Värmlands Skogsförråd. From the Skåne region comes a new cheese Alpost from Skånemejerier. And from the Västmanland region comes bacon, meatballs and the traditional Falu sausage (Falukorv). TotallySwedish have for some time sold Husmansbord's awarded crispbreads from Leksandsbröd.

TotallySwedish are proud to be introducing  Saxhyttegubben's Blåbär 100%, an extraordinary Swedish blueberry drink with a distinctive taste and rich in antioxidants and tannins. The drink is made from freshly squeezed, wild blueberries from the Swedish forests in the Bergslagen region. No additives. No preservatives. Each bottle (33 cl) contains the juice of approximately 2,300 blueberries.

TotallySwedish was founded in 2005 and their two stores stock more than 800 different Swedish food products. They also have an online store which offers next day delivery, nationwide.

"Most Swedish people in the UK know about our stores, but over the past couple of years we have seen a large increase in British customers", says Store Manager Anna-Karin Andreasson. "They are very curious about Swedish produce and are keen to learn how to cook Swedish dishes."

Sweden is known for quality gluten free and dairy free products. TotallySwedish sell brands such as Fria Gluten Free, as well as gluten-free pasta and bread mixes.
