Berkshire’s Wood Lane Dental is highly commended at national Dentistry Awards

Wood Lane Dental in Sonning Common is celebrating after being highly commended in the South East Dental Practice of the Year 2018 category at the Dentistry Awards. The event is the UK’s largest dental awards ceremony and was held at the historical Athena venue in Leicester on 23^rd November. The prestigious award is judged by an independent panel of dental professionals and recognises excellence in dentistry.

The practice has been in the area since 1969 and provides dental care across the whole of Berkshire and also offers Denplan payment plans. Vikram Chugani BDS(Wales) MFDS RCSEd MSc(UCL) is Principal Dentist at Wood Lane Dentistry Dentist and has a specialist interest in Prosthosdontics, Endodontics and Implant Dentistry.

He said: “We are so proud and thrilled to have been highly commended as the South East Dental practice of the Year 2018. I am especially pleased for my team, who have sacrificed a lot of time and energy in creating a practice that centres around customer service, consistent high quality care and preventive dentistry. It has been a mind shift for both staff and patients to work in this way but we have been overwhelmed by the patient feedback on our ‘prevention is better than cure’ approach to patient care.”

He continued: “The judges commended us on our use of advanced technology, such as 3D scanning to improve the patient experience and the use of 3D CT scanning for diagnosing complex cases.
