Press release -

Supreme Petfoods announces 2018 trade show schedule

Supreme Petfoods is continuing its expansion into the US with a full programme of trade shows and veterinary conferences throughout 2018. The team will be taking booths at Global Pet Expo, Superzoo, VMX 2018, Exoticscon and New York Vet Show. The company will also be at Interzoo in Germany, which is the biggest international pet trade fair.

Marketing Manager Claire Hamblion says the company is keen for retailers and veterinarians to see its portfolio of new and innovative products, especially the Selective Naturals treats range and grain-free options, “There’s a real hunger for information about feeding small pets and as we cater for a wide variety of species, we have lots of expertise to share. It’s always great to hear feedback and to be able to help retailers and veterinary professionals source the information they need to support pet owners.”

For the first time in five years, Supreme will return to Global Pet Expo, run by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA). Supreme is delighted to be back as an APPA member and is looking forward to meeting both old and new customers at the show on booth number 5684.

Supreme also has a booth at Superzoo (number 3156), following a successful and award winning presence last year. Claire says there are literally hundreds of reasons to attend Superzoo and as an increasingly influential player and champion of best practice in the feeding of small pets, Supreme simply has to be there, “Superzoo is the ideal place to pick up on new industry trends and insights. The suppliers who bring it all to life and can put retailers on the path toward a bigger, better business in 2018 will all be in attendance and we want to make sure that small pets are well represented.”

First on the list of veterinary events is VMX 2018 (the Veterinary Meeting and Expo, formerly known as the NAVC Conference), at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Nutrition plays a vital role in the health of small pets and the consequences of feeding less than optimally are serious, with dental disease and gastric problems particularly prevalent. The Supreme team will be available to discuss the nutritional management of cases and can signpost to a range of resources both online and offline. VMX is followed by ExoticsCon, which will take place in Atlanta, Georgia and attracts hundreds of specialist veterinary professionals with a specialist interest in avian, exotic mammal, reptilian and amphibian medicine. The last big event of the year is the New York Vet Show, where Supreme will be delighted to support this exciting veterinary conference again in its second year.

Retailers or veterinarians who want to travel further afield can contact Supreme for a voucher for free entry to Interzoo. The event is the world’s biggest trade fair for the international pet industry and attracts manufacturers, wholesalers and service providers from over 60 countries. Supreme will be at Interzoo for the first time in six years, and has confirmed its attendance at booth #9-136 in hall 9. It provides an ideal opportunity for Supreme to support its partners across the globe.

Claire says she always returns from such events tired but inspired, “Networking, identifying trends that can be adapted for small pets, learning something new and finding out about the real-life experiences of our customers is just awesome. We can’t wait to get started on this exciting show calendar.”

About Supreme Petfoods

Supreme Petfoods has specialized in the care and nutrition of small pets for 25 years. It was the first company to make species specific small animal diets that reflected their unique nutritional requirements. As well as offering the biggest range of species specific foods, Supreme also manufactures all its herbivore diets in dedicated vegetarian facilities.

Only ingredients of the highest quality are sourced for use in the Supreme range of foods and the recipes are developed to be palatable without the use of added sugar.

Supreme recipes are all manufactured to a fixed formula to minimise the risk of gastric upset and while the company produces diets containing the highest fibre levels of any rabbit food, hay is always recommended as an additional food source to promote dental wear, provide environmental enrichment, foraging and nesting opportunities.
