Wakefields’s The Dental Studio scoops multiple wins at national Dentistry Awards and Private Dentistry Awards

The Dental Studio in Wakefield is celebrating after winning multiple awards across several categories at two prestigious award ceremonies held two weeks apart.

The first set of awards came at the Dentistry Awards for best Patient Care in the North East and the practice was also Highly Commended in the Best Practice in the North East category. Then last Friday, at the Private Dentistry Awards, The Dental Studio was awarded North East Practice of the Year and was Highly Commended in the Best Team category.

The practice is no stranger to awards, having won the overall Practice of the Year, UK, Award at the Dentistry Awards in 2017.

Principal Dentist, Dr Martina Hodgson said: "We have been truly blown away by the recognition we have received over the last few weeks. Every member of our team puts their heart and soul into making sure we provide the very best to our patients and we do this for one reason - because we genuinely care. Who'd have thought our little practice in an old mining village in Yorkshire could compete on a national stage!”

She also pointed out the award reflects the efforts of the whole team and continued: “I want to thank my amazing team for the hard work they put in every day, carried out with compassion and skill."

The Dentistry Awards event is the UK’s largest dental awards ceremony and was held at the historical Athena venue in Leicester on 23rd November. This high profile award is judged by an independent panel of dental professionals and recognises excellence in dentistry.

The Private Dentistry Awards took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on Friday 7th December. The Awards recognise and reward excellent private dentistry being carried out by teams and individuals throughout the UK and Ireland.
